WBENC CERTIFICATION
Eagle Instruments, Inc., is a proven member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and have been certified and in good standing since 2006. The goal of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council is to foster diversity in the complex world of business commerce by expanding business opportunities and eliminating barriers in the marketplace for women-owned businesses, such as Eagle Instruments.
Certification by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council validates the ownership and control of a business as woman-owned. Certification is a lengthy process, sometimes taken more than a year. It carefully scrutinizes proven business ability, requires completion of an extensive application process, and includes site visits and financial reviews.
The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), founded in 1997, is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled, and operated by women in the United States. WBENC, a national 501(c)(3) non-profit, partners with 14 Regional Partner Organizations to provide its world class standard of certification to women-owned businesses throughout the country.
NAICS CODES
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) was developed for use by Federal Statistical agencies in classifying businesses such as Eagle Instruments, Inc., for the collection of statistical data related to the business economy of the Unites States. Though designed for this purpose, it is not the sole, nor perhaps the most valuable, use of this coding system. NAICS codes are critical for procurement purposes when conducting business with the Federal Government, which Eagle Instruments actively does. Contracting officials can easily find qualified companies through the use of NAICS Codes on the Central Contract Registry for bidding purposes. On the Central Contract Registry, which Eagle Instruments is listed as a supplier in good standing, we meet the criteria for participating in the Registry in a variety of categories.
